Is your agency a winner in the stimulus package?
Now that the $787 billion stimulus package has been signed into law, plenty of government agencies stand to win a huge amount of work and oversight responsibilities in distributing massive amounts of money. Here's a list of some of the winners:
* Agencies with established contract vehicles are likely to have a leg up in awarding contracts since much of the money needs to be obligated by the end of the fiscal year.
* Alaska Native Corporations may be in line for more money because agencies can direct no-compete contracts of any size to ANCs and tribally-owned businesses.
* Projects that meet the administration‘s to-do list, and that includes health care and the environment.
* Agencies that have established infrastructure in place to manage grants and do it quickly.
