White House blog live with Chopra
One of the most remarkable achievements in the year since President Obama took office is the amazing use of new media to get the message out.
The White House blog this week is looking at Obama's accomplishments in his first year in office. On Thursday at 11:30 am, Aneesh Chopra, the nation's first Federal Chief Technology Officer, will join Norm Eisen, special counsel to the president for ethics and government reform, to talk about all the ways that President Obama has changed Washington.
But that is not the only issue the blog takes on this week. It is a living, breathing document that does not let time lag in getting information out.
We saw information flow firsthand Wednesday morning, less than a day after a 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti.
The blog was online with information about donating money and other ways to help the island nation, along with a video of Obama outlining what the United States is doing in response to this catastrophe.
