Spotlight: FedRAMP accredits third-party assessment organizations
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, or FedRAMP, on May 14 named nine third-party assessment organizations, or 3PAOs, that will assess and test cloud computing vendors' security controls. Cloud service providers will engage 3PAOs from the list and undergo independent evaluation in order to obtain FedRAMP provisional authorization. For more, see the list of 3PAOs.
