The Defense Department announced July 1 a pilot program that will allow federal information-technology workers to trade spots with counterparts in the private sector, according to a DoD press release. The Information Technology Exchange Program, was authorized by the fiscal 2010 National Defense Authorization Act, and will place personnel in 3-month to 1-year assignments.
