Airline travelers beware: The new federal initiative called Secure Flight next year will require that the name on the ID you use at the airport security checkpoint match the exact name on your airline ticket, and coincide with government databases. If your driver's license says John T. Smith, your ticket must also say John T. Smith--not John Thomas Smith, not Jack Smith, or any other name variant--reports the New York Times.The system may make us all safer, but it also may result in some unhappy and justly aggrieved passengers.
