SPOTLIGHT: Not everyone wants the White House in charge of cybersecurity

While there is a growing chorus to put someone in charge--anyone really--of dealing with the government's cybersecurity defenses, there are critics who now say it should not be the White House. This is one of those Washington insider debates that may just delay the inevitable. For example, Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), the ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, said that putting the White House in charge would make it harder for Congress to oversee policies and budgets.
