Military gets easy access to Google Voice
Google is making it easy for service men and women to get Google Voice. Soldiers with valid ".mil" email addresses can sign up for the free call and voice mail management tool.
All they need is a local number and someone in the U.S. to set it up. Family members can call the trooper's Google voice number and leave voice mails that a soldier can check later via the Internet.
Sometimes the private sector does something good by reaching out to government. And sometimes the government does something good by making it possible.
