SPOTLIGHT: IPv6 security a tough challenge
A new generation of Internet Protocols known as IPv6 has new security features, but it may not be that much more secure than the current system in use. Brett Thorson, a security adviser to the North American IPv6 Task Force, told Government Computer News that hackers are already looking for ways to take advantage of the new system, and planning their attacks. Thorson says that all IPv6 products have security, but the system is not enabled by most users and its effectiveness can vary because of the multiple ways it can be implemented. Article
