IG: DHS gets good grades on intel

The Department of Homeland Security's inspector general gave DHS some good grades for maintaining an effective information security management program for its intelligence unit.

In an unclassified version of the audit released Tuesday, the IG said that overall IT security procedures have been document and adequate security controls have been implemented.

"Nonetheless," the IG said, "management oversight and operational issues remain regarding the effectiveness of the program."
