Grants.gov has one working browser
Much to the dismay of many people, the government's website to find and apply for federal grants only uses one browser--Internet Explorer--and applying for grants continues to have new troubles.
Federal officials acknowledged on a blog post last week that Internet browsers Firefox and Google Chrome do not work for applicants and grantors, and the Grants.gov site recommends Internet Explorer to track and post grant opportunities or packages.
The incompatibility of the browsers is just the latest glitch for Grants.gov, which has been criticized for inconsistent performance measures, shortcomings in its management structure, and no standardized policies for processing grant applications.
