President Obama wants transparency in government agencies, but how do they get there?

The Food and Drug Administration, for one, is taking the usual path--forming an internal task force to identity information about the agency that will be available to the public. Federal Computer Week reported Wednesday that the FDA has an announcement on its website about this development. It's the first step in responding to Obama's request for agencies to share information online with the public.

The task force is looking for the public's input on ways the agency can better explain what it does and its' decision-making process. That's the easy part of this process, though. The hard part will be putting these recommendations into action, and doing it quickly.
