FBI looks for mobile biometric capture software


The FBI says it may be in the market for a software that would permit mobile devices to capture biometric data including fingerprints, iris prints and faces.

In a request for information posted Nov. 6 onto FedBizOpps, the FBI says it already has laptop equipment that permits agents to capture that information, but now it wants vendors to describe the capabilities that a mobile device could have to do the same.
