Errors in Recovery.gov reports

Recovery.gov is staying true to its word. The website, designed to follow the transparency of the government's stimulus money, corrected 12 percent of the fourth quarter 2009 reports from recipients of stimulus funds.

The Recovery Accountability and Transparency (RAT) Board posted more than 160,000 recipient reports on Recovery.gov. Nearly 19,000 of them had mistakes, requiring a few fixes.

The Transportation Department had the highest number of changes. It fixed 5,360 reports, nearly half of the total number it received.

The Departments of Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, and Justice all posted more than 1,000 changes each, as well.
