DHS and DOJ are most affected by OMB IT system reviews
The departments of Justice and Homeland Security have had the most information technology systems affected by Obama administration-led reviews, according to FierceGovernmentIT analysis. (Link goes to embedded ManyEyes interactive bubble chart which is manipulable by affected agencies, affected systems and the outcome of OMB reviews.)
According to Jeffrey Zients, OMB's deputy director for management, OMB has completed reviews of more than 50 major IT projects. "We have significantly accelerated delivery; we've increased functionality coming online every few quarters, rather than coming online every couple years; and we've achieved, in total, $3 billion in budget reductions," he told reporters during a Dec. 9 press briefings (you can listen to it in full here.)
