SPOTLIGHT: Cyber challenge to be launched today
A consortium of government agencies, private industry, and academics are expected to announce plans on Monday, July 27, for three competitions aimed at inspiring college students to learn the technical defensive and attacking skills need to protect the nation's computer networks. The Center for Strategic and International Studies, the SANS Institute, the Department of Defense, and several university and private-industry partners will run the contests, seeking out the best hackers and IT brains to train and recruit.
