An independent audit by the accounting firm KPMB finds weaknesses in the Department of Homeland Security's IT systems that might hurt its financial controls. For example, it says the Coast Guard's core financial system configuration management process controls are not operating effectively and are a risk to DHS financial data confidentiality. In addition, the audit found unsecured government credit cards and passwords for financial systems, reports Federal Computer Week. Article
