What would you do if one of your computer drives went missing?

Well, if it has a significant amount of data on it, you would have no choice but to offer a reward. And that's what the National Archives is doing--offering a $50,000 reward for the recovery of a missing computer drive containing sensitive Clinton administration data.

Hasn't anyone ever heard of backup? How about chain of command?

When the dust clears on this loss (and hopefully it is found), the archives and every other agency needs a lesson on protecting hard drives to make sure they do not disappear or end up in the hands of someone willing to go to great lengths to get money for it.
