Another website to learn about e-health
A new website may be developed to teach the public about personal health records as the Obama administration moves quickly to e-Health. The idea is being proposed by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) to tell the public what is up about personal health records and the privacy policy related to their use.
Electronic health records are one idea that the Obama administration has seized upon as a way to cut administrative costs and implement universal health coverage. The idea has been discussed endlessly for years, and implemented in pieces between the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Defense Department.
But no one has quite figured out how to make the system universal, how to keep it secure and how to make sure that privacy is protected.
