And now...who will be the cyber czar?
The Obama administration is still putting the puzzle together, but what an interesting puzzle it is, especially when it comes to federal IT. Now, we are awaiting the appointment of a cyber czar, another new job to round out what will become a potent force in government.
The latest rumblings include three names who could fit the bill very well. There's Meilssa Hathaway, the acting director of the White House cybersecurity office. There's Dale Myros, the former chief information officer of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
And then there's a dark horse--former Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA)--who now works for DeLoitte. In a previous incarnation, Davis was the leading voice of information technology on Capitol Hill and a great defender of technology throughout the government.
You choose, or have some patience and wait and see.
