Military Leaders Convene to Discuss the Future of Border Security at IDGA’s Premiere Border Management Summit - Southwest
IDGA Summit provides venue at Southwest Border to address current and future border security initiatives
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) announces the Border Management Summit – Southwest scheduled for May 23-25, 2011 in El Paso, Texas.
High-level officials from the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the FBI will convene in El Paso, Texas this May to discuss and evaluate the current and future border security initiatives.
In its second year, IDGA’s Border Management Summit – Southwest brings together thought leaders and key policymakers across local, state and federal law enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security, and international government organizations, to discuss security initiatives specific to the US-Mexico border.
IDGA’s Border Management Summit – Southwest is comprised of a Pre-Summit Border Security Technologies Focus Day and a comprehensive two day summit. The two day Border Management Summit will feature topical sessions on cross-border gang violence, drug interdiction, interoperable usage of intelligence, and an exclusive interactive border sheriff panel. The Pre-Summit workshop Day will focus on using C4ISR as a Force Multiplier and securing the border with fiber-optics and micro-robotics applications.
