GUIDENT SELECTED TO JOIN MCAFEE SECURITY INNOVATION ALLIANCE

Company's Virtualization Control and Optimization Portal Solution to Integrate with McAfee Products

Herndon, VA - October 4, 2011 - Guident, a leading integrator of business intelligence, management consulting, and systems engineering services to the government and commercial marketplaces, today announced that it has been selected to join the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance (SIA).  In the SIA program, Guident will integrate data from McAfee products into its Virtualization Control and Optimization Portal (VCOP) - a risk management capability that provides agency-wide situational awareness, decision support, auditing, troubleshooting, and reporting of information technology (IT) security and compliance to executive, management, and operational resources.

"We are happy to welcome Guident as an Associate Partner in the SIA program," said Ed Barry, vice president, McAfee Security Innovation Alliance.  "Guident brings a unique offering and a non-traditional approach to security.  McAfee looks forward to working with Guident and leveraging their extensive expertise to deliver integrated solutions that directly support government security reporting and compliance requirements."

McAfee SIA is a technology partnering program created to help accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments.  Working together, McAfee and its partners deliver solutions that are more comprehensive than those available from any single vendor.  As part of the program, Guident will integrate data from McAfee products into VCOP to enable the automated collection, testing, and enforcement of security controls for both physical and virtual environments throughout a government agency or an enterprise.  This operational intelligence provides monitoring and management of business activities with near real-time situational awareness and analysis of an organization's performance.

"McAfee is clearly a leader in protecting many of the government's most critical systems," said Dan Ackerman, Executive Vice President, Guident.  "Integrating the McAfee solution set with our continuous compliance capabilities provides a powerful tool for the government.  We are excited to join the McAfee SIA and look forward to engaging McAfee, as well as other leading-edge companies in the partner program on future security projects."

A business intelligence-based solution, VCOP increases risk awareness; improves the accuracy and timeliness of FISMA reporting; and reduces annual costs associated with addressing security and mandatory compliance requirements.  This is accomplished by collating, transforming, and aggregating data from disparate sources to generate browser-accessible graphical dashboards of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
